We left Daniel's house bright and early. Poor Silvia wasn't even up when we took off. We knew we had a long day ahead of us, and we needed the early start. While we were packing up the van, the girls had a blast in their front yard. They found SNAILS!
Girls in front of Dan and Silvia's home.
We decided to drive from Oceanside, CA to San Louis Obispo, CA to see another home my mom lived in when she was a little girl, before her parents died. We passed through Los Angeles, and saw some pretty interesting things.
Los Angeles
Some weird building I decided to take a picture of.
We got to experience not so fun Los Angeles traffic.
We had to stop and feed Abigail, so we took our chances and pulled off of the freeway. We landed in Graffiti land!
The poor kids all squished in the van, yes even with a large van like ours.
This is what they were looking at while they were all squished.
Yet another stop a few hours later. What a beautiful lake! I was really falling in love with Southern CA by then.
The proud parents of our large brood. Don't we look carefree in this pic? We hide it well.
On the Road again, still heading toward San Louis Obispo. I'm lovin' the farmland! So wish we had a ranch of our own.
Our brood still squished, not quite as lively as before.
We finally arrived in San Loius Obispo, and saw my mother's childhood home. It had recently been bought, and we could see people painting the inside. Since the living room windows were open, we could see the whole back wall of the house. It was made up of windows that gave a wonderful view of the valley. Mom says she remembers running through the swinging doors with her brother. I wish we could buy the house. There were fall colors everywhere, and the best part is, it's only 15 minutes to Pismo Beach. Aaron and I fell in love with the place!
Here's some pictures we took at Pismo Beach:
What a lovely day, little did we know what lied ahead...!

hahaha I know what lies ahead, man oh man...
These pics of the kids at the beach are really REALLY cute!! Your camera takes great pictures. Justin and I think that pic you took of Jarom on the tractor is the best picture we have of him- it looks so professional!
I wish I could live in Southern CA too, the housing market would have to crash about 6 or 7 times before we could afford it though. :)
